新冠大流行让“社区”的概念以前所未有的存在感被人们体味。网格化管理、核酸检测、封控、团购、邻里互助……都一次次形塑和强调着过去并不显现的“社区”。
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the concept of "community" to people with an unprecedented sense of existence. Grid management, nucleic acid testing, lockdown, group purchasing, neighborhood support ...these are shaping and emphasizing the "community" that was not visible in the past.
相比由基层行政划分和治理力量所扭合的关系，其实中国社会里更自然形成的“社区”，是由宗族血缘关系联结的传统乡村和熟人社会，是计划经济时代的大院与国营庇护下的集体生活，是城市化过程中封闭管理的士绅化小区，是由地域不均衡发展和工业产业布局决定的外来务工阶层的聚集，以及由此产生的租房产业链、对应流动人口生活和休闲需求自然咬合形成的消费圈和或明或暗的服务业……
Different from the “communities” based on the administrative division and governance forces at the grassroots level, the naturally-formed “communities” in the Chinese society come in many ways: the traditional villages and acquaintance groups linked by clan and blood ties, the collective dwellings under the patronage of state-owned companies or official compounds in the era of planned economy, the well-managed gentry neighbourhoods formed in the process of urbanization; and there are also other kinds of “communities” in a broader sense, such as the settlements of the migrant workers due to the uneven development of regions and certain layout of industries, and as a result of which the house rental business is generated, so as the business district meeting the living and leisure needs of the migrant population, as well as the explicit or implicit service industry…
这些从乡土中国遗留下来融入了现代化中国的痕迹，在今天的黄边村都尚能看到。
These traces left over from the earthbound China and remain in the modern China, can still be seen in Huangbian Village today.
而过去三年里，周围城市化建设和产业升级的脚步从未停止。村集体用地十多年前从农田变成厂房，现在又已经完成了新一轮翻新，“设计之都”在这里拔地而起。就像黄边曾经的国营矿厂大院，早已成为化妆品和直播业为主的创意园。黄边村的改变从未停止。随着最后一轮整村改造即将到来，黄边村里的现有生态将完全翻新，人群将在城市建设的洗刷中不知流向何方，阶层也将完成新的更替。
Over the past three years, the process of industrial upgrading and urbanization surrounding the Village has continued. A decade ago, the village collective land was transformed from farmland into a factory, and now the building of "design capital" has risen up here in the latest renovation. The changes to the Village never cease: just like the current cosmetic and live broadcast industry-based creative park, was once where the state-owned mining factory compound located. With the last round of village refurbishing coming soon, the existing ecology in Huangbian Village will be completely renovated. The crowd will flow to somewhere in the wash of urban construction, and other social stratums will emerge replacing the old ones.
此刻就是历史，艺术即为见证。
This moment is history, and art is a witness.
